What better way to spend today then to get inspired and then go be creative? For today's projects as well as this weeks projects, I thought I'd share what inspired me to do what I do.
This song is inspirational because it is about reaching your dreams and being at a really high point in your life and then not wanting to go back down, but higher. It helps me realize that it is possible to go higher and higher in your life with the support of others.
There are two photographers that I constantly look up to for inspiration. One of them is Sarah Lane from Sarah Lane Studios in Napa Valley, CA. I look at her family, children, and senior portraits for ideas. I love how she captures life, emotion, drama, and love in one photo. She would be a dream to study under. This is one of my absolute favorite portraits done by her.
The other photographer I follow is Justine Ungaro. She is mostly a wedding and engagement photographer. Her black and white photos are stunning and her color photos capture the moment so well that you thought you were there. There are so many favorites from her. This is in the top five though.
My blog inspiration is Color Me Katie. She is a photographer from NYC and loves to be colorful, creative, and happy. I've followed her for a few weeks now and I am always smiling what the ideas she comes up with.
My favorite model and good friend, Jordan Murray, is a huge inspiration to me. I whatever photo I take of her, she always looks stunning. It's amazing. Sadly, she moved away so I don't have unlimited access to her awesomeness but I do miss her and can't wait until I get to take more pictures of her!
My final inspiration of the day would be my friends and family. That picture did not make it into an art show recently, and I was really sad about it. But my friend Eric (above) made me smile about how Hannah (picture) was his stable, moody girlfriend who didn't have any unexpected emotions or conversations. It made me laugh and I instantly remembered that I love photography for one reason, for people. So making it into the art show was instantly wiped from my mind once I realized that my friends had my back when I didn't make something I wanted to. Thank guys, it means a lot! :)
